Whats the limit?

I've been thinking very hard about the sweet new toy to come. I'm one of those fanatics when it comes to speed but when I sat down to do the math for the Supercharger this is what I came up with:

$5000 sc comptech
$1000 install at dealer (to keep your warranty)
$2500 tranny level 10 w/o the $1000 shift plate electronics
$1000 install ????
$2000 big brakes 13" brembos
$ 500 install (swtiching the fronts to the back)
$4500 wheels & tires to fit the brakes

$16,500???

That's why I've been considering buying a true performance car.

Okay, there are a few things in that post that don't add up (pun intended). First of all, you cannot swap the back rotors with the fronts. The backs are not ventilated, the fronts are. You can have a 4-wheel custom brake kit made, but your talkin 5-6k now. Second, DO NOT BUY FROM LEVEL TEN, EVER!!!!!!! They offer a 90 day warranty, and vioid the manufacterer's tranny waranty. So if the tranny fails after 90 days, you are FUCKED! That is one of the reason that they are under investigation by the state of new jersey. Comptech, however, has said that they would pay for failed trannies beause they think that they can handle it.

Like he said...don't buy from Level Ten, they have a lawsuit and a bunch of other crap pending against them.

Is this really true about Comptech? They're seriously willing to cover failing trannies? For how long? If so, I feel sorry for Comptech since they're going to be replacing many trannies.

hehehe . But, seriously, they are gonna be faced with a lot of tranny failures. I mean 310 hp (I think thats what it comes to) is gnna push alot of trannies over the edge.

I don't recall the name of the post, sorry. But I know that it was in a post on this site quoted from some guy at Comptech.
