What's the highest octane regular gas stations sell in AZ?

VividRacing mentioned something on another forum about using 91 octane in their car. (They're a tuner shop in a suburb of Phoenix.) Please tell me AZ doesn't have the Californai "91 octane max" bug.

I can get up to 94 octane here in MD, and of course special places have higher expensive stuff, but just regular pump gas is generally 93/94.

Also what's with the stupid sales tax set up in AZ? Well that's not really car-related except if you're buying a car there. Towns add extra %s to the state-wide 5%? Goofy. East Coast makes so much more sense. 5% in MD, 3% in VA. Life is simple. =p

sorry bud but we only sport 91octo. We used to have 92octo a couple years back but no more. Where is this tune shop are you talking about? You can but 110 octo at certin places but It's $10/gal.

not only is it 91 now, but MTBE is added to the summer gas and ethanol is added in the winters.

AZ doesn't have any of it's own refineries (yet) so all our gas is piped in from CA and TX. I think that's what limits our selections of gas grades. The one coming from TX broke a few months ago and caused crazy lines at the gas stations.

I wish Sunoco would branch out west to AZ

yes, cities here can add in their own sales tax (on top of the state's). I don't think all the cities do it though.

All we've got here is 91...but I have seen some places with racing gas at 110 octane like bug said.

As for sales tax, it varies a little bit between cities, but for the most part, it's about 7.8%-8.1% out here.
