What's done at 7500 miles?
I'm like 300 miles overdue for my 7500 mile as I'm about 3 hours from home and 45 min. from the nearest Acura dealer. I posted before about getting serviced at a Honda dealer down the street, but what is exactly done at 7500 miles? This way I can call either that dealer or Midas or soemthing to see if they can do it if it's just standard stuff.
I checked Montgomeryville's site and the only thing they have is for:
Oil and filter change
Inspect brakes
Lubricate throttle linkage (which I think most places won't do, but I can just get this done at an Acura when i have the chance).
Check/correct fluids
Inspect tires/pressure
Rotate tires.
am i missing anything specific to the cl?

MikeN,
I did a search and couldn't find anything else than what I have mentioned...but I can't confirm 'cuz I don't have my service manual with me (it's about 180mils away).
next time you ask something that's already been covered, we won't answer you.

To answer your question, don't do it. You can change the oil and check the fluid levels yourself. Take the car to a local gas station to have the tires rotated. I was curious about this issue too and asked a while back.

Yep, that search on 7500 does the trick. I wonder if the oil change and rotate are the big items...
I always thought that some of the dealers idea of a minor service was to change the oil and then run around the car 10 times while chanting, ".. charge-em, charge-em, charge-em".

It's all a gimmick if you ask me. My old man takes his TL in every 7500 miles no matter what. Doesn't seem right to me.

called up acura to see what the 7500 mile consisted of...pretty much oil/filter change and rotate tires, inspect brakes and fluids and stuff and engine analysis (which i had done like 4 weeks ago when my battery died and my check engine light came on). they said it was $99. most of it was just inspections.
so i called up midas...they don't know what kind of filter it had, so i bought one from honda a mile down the street (same filter as v6 accord...$6). 20 minutes and i got an oil change, visual brake check, fluids, and tires rotated for a tad over $30 bucks.
