I now drive an accord....
Actually the correct answer is..............
There is no such thing as a CL-P. Acura only produced a CL and CL type S. For some reason CL owners like to tack that premium on to the end

Actually there is a CL-P (for 1st gen's). The CL had cloth upholstery and 15" wheels. The CL-P had leather and 16" wheels.

People will call the 225hp CL a CLP just to differenciate it from the CLS... There was a CLP for the 1st gen CL's...

rim width
I'll post pics in the summer when I get my rims... I think I'm goin with the Niche Rhine, 18" (potholes in Jersey are too much for 19's), but I'm undecided on the width. I can get 18x7.5 or 18x8.5...Does anyone have any insight? How about the fit and the ride? I gotta go with 225/40/R18.

Actually I had a CL Premium before I got my Type S. One thing I miss is the gas mileage. There is a difference there. Oh, and it rode smoother, but I don't miss that that much.

I understand the seats....it does look nice. But, the CL-p seats are just fine for me. I get many compliments when people get in. I have mixed feelings about the silver gauges. I don't like the fact that it shows all the warning lights and stuff. Nothing is hidden. Just looks wierd to me.

Yes, Virginia, There is a CL-P
Read your Acura owner's manual, where it refers in many sections to "Premium" model. This is the actual Acura term for the base model. Helms makes the same references.
PS- I have one of the "P's" modified well enough to keep up with stock "S's" in a straight line- I think my highway ride is a little softer, though.
Next car is probably a off-lease 04-05 6MT TL.
