What's with CL owners nowadays?

It seems like most of the cool CL owners have jumped ships and New CL owners are rude as hell nowadays. I remember back then when I see a CL owner I would wave and they would at least wave back and something. But now it's like a totally different ball game. I came to a traffic light in my friend's G35 and saw this clean black CL with ronjon rims and all I just said was nice CLS bro. Next thing I know he gives me this weird ass look and then cranks his music and Guns the living daylights out of his car. I just sat there for a split second thinking to myself Wow. Has this happen to any of you guys? Just trying to wave to a fellow CL owner and then get nothing but dust in your face?

I think its because Acura used to symbolize speed . And now it symbolizes class . So all the rich assholes who want to seem classy buy them now . Not fun loving speed demons .

In L.A. I see several CL's first and second Gen's daily on the 405 freeway. Also several RL's and TL's and RSX's.

lol Ray I'm not rocking a G so don't worry about it....I'm not that high of a high roller like some people are nowadays. My CL is almost finished. It sucks paying out of your pocket to fix a car.

Since you were in a G35 and not a CL, he probably thought you were talkin trash. And that you wanted to race too which explains why he gunned it.

I saw a clean 2nd gen on the freeway slammed on some rims. Gave him a thumbs up and never got a "thanks" look. No biggie though...I was in the Z3 so he obviously didnt know I was a fellow member here. Seen him at the SoCal meet before too.

The problem is, according to Acura showroom material I read awhile back, the average purchaser of 30k+ Acura cars are 35+ men (and women). So, until the price range progresses down to a younger, more enthusiast generation, people may not see alot of love for the CL. A lot of people who have this car just want a nice car to drive, they don't care about modding or halfway keeping the car nice it seems sometimes. There is a guy around here I see in a silver CLS almost everyday going to work, he never even blinks when we drive by eachother. I have a mesh grill, limo tint all around, and some nice piaa roadlamps, so the car does not look totally stock. Many people look at the car when driving by, and i have gotten love from people in MB's, Porsche's, Lexus's, Harley's and CR's. I just think that we should pat eachother and ourselves on the back for getting a nice, fairly rare car and being smart about car buying.
