What Are Your Best 1/4 Times??

As I am anticipating the return of my car in 2 weeks or so I was wondering what every ones best 1/4 + 60ft time and mods were.
With the number of performance mods increasing: Turbo+IC, Turbo and SC w. 6sp or 5sp auto, Nitrous, Un-chip, etc...
My car, I believe, will be in the 8lbs of I/C boost range. I will post, if all goes well:

1) Dyno on this new application.
2) New and improved(hopefully)1/4+60ft. times
3) Auto tranny update???...I hope it holds up??

My current pre-IC/8lbs mods are in the sig.

Your 60 ft is the problem .. I think a tenth off your 60ft is 2 tenths off your ET. You can tell the HP is there by your trap speed. With light wheels like the SSR Comps you should be running much better times!

since then I installed the lower temp thermostat and fan switch/radiator cap and uni-chip as of tommorow.

Best was a 14.007@100mph with several more 14.0@100 passes. Average 60ft. is 2.2 with 2.21 being my best. My highest trap speed was 101.11. Mods at the time were Aem intake, Comptech headers,Tein coilovers, and shitty stock tires.

13.4@105 in my Camaro bone stock.

I doubt I'd ever get the CL that fast not that I really want to mod it that much.

now i know why your mods look so familiar.
SCTL-SS,
are you getting all your work done by VR? If so, they sent me a list of your mods along with 1/4 times with different combinations.
Maybe you can clear this up for me. When i looked down the list, it seemed like you werent breaking 13's even with the blower. also, your times with I/H/P were not that good as well. I ran 14.4 with that setup and i remember the numbers listed for that setup you had were higher. I was hoping you can explain the reasoning behind it or did i miss something?
BTW, your current time is very quick. I hope i can pull off something of that sort when i goto the track.

I don't understand how you guys get mid/low 14's with stock cars. Auto's no less. I know one of my problems was traction, is driver weight a factor?

nobody has run better than a 14.6 in a stock auto.

and it's even less likely to happen in FLA.

give me some stock auto's at the right track, in the right conditions and i bet i could squeek a 14.6 out of most of them.

the best I could EVER do out of my stock auto was 15.1, and that was in pretty decent conditions in NJ

but now pulling consistent 14.1's .. hopefully consistent 13.9's if fedex ever delivers my package

you're probably better about prepping and driving the car now. it's not likely that the bolt on mods shaved a whole second off your time.

and what do you mean by consistant 14.1's? have you run them on different days? i've only run in the 1's twice.

No not on different days. 14.19 and 14.17 same day. I guess the consistent comment was a bit innacurate.

As far as prepping and driving .. I guess a LITTLE, but hardly. I've launched it just the same from day 1, pretty consistently with the auto. The light wheels and good rubber made just as much a difference as I\H\E

i ran a 14.16 and a 14.17 back to back. but i wouldn't say i run in the 1's consistantly.

but i will say i run low 14's consistantly.

the last time i went to the track n/a i ran a 14.20 @ 99.x on my first run. i had never run that quick on a first run ever.

OK, then I run low 14's consistently.

My best runs always seem to be my last run of the night .. does the ECU adjust to being beat on?

no need to be sorry.

it always seemed to me the car got faster and ran better on back to back runs.

but after that 14.2 i ran, i got slower. but i think track conditions got worse.

If I launch decently I pull 14.5-14.6 every time down. Launching the 6 speed on stock tires takes some finesse though.

i know on the autos the car loves back to back runs w/ as little time as possible between runs, one day i went to the track and it wasnt busy i ran 14.3's all day with one 14.2

i have gone back to the track with better tires and the addition of the UR crank pulley but couldnt net better than a 14.4, but on that day there was lots of time between the runs

i think a major factoris to get the car beat on and broken in, maybe going wot alot before u get to the track will help

but matt that 14.2 on your first run is unbelieveable

99 Cobra Stock after the recall fix 279rwhp 284rwtq ran 13.6 at 103-104mph with a 2.0 60ft. (SOLD)

01 CL-S Comptech E/H, AEM pulleys and intake, Apexi V-AFC (tuned) ran 14.2 at 98-99mph 2.1-2.2 60ft with 238 or 242whp i dont remember the number exactly (SOLD)

Now 02 Z28 M6 with Headers, LID(Intake), Cutout, and a Cam... it ran 12.4 at 114mph 1.9 60ft (street tires) with 392rwhp 382rwtq (Gained 100rwhp with those simple mods). Supercharger getting on soon pushing 8psi Can u say low 11's on street tires.
