congrats I guess personally, I think 17's an age where you should be driving a car like a first gen and learning to appreciate what you've got - but I guess go with the flow. Enjoy the CL and welcome to the family!

wrd but our 2nd gens are really cheap now. dont go with 20's unless you research and do it right. i say slam it on some stock type S wheels or some 18s at the biggest...

well i had an integra but got in a wreck. drove the parents volvo for about half a year and they gave me this car. it was previously theirs so it was handed down. our roads arent THAT bad here in FL so i wouldnt mind getting twentys. im sorry to mislead you on slam, i mean tucked. ive definately got my info down when it comes to researching. not to be crude or mean but i probably am more knowledged about than 3/4ths of the people on this board. unfortunately this board doesnt include that much info about our cars and im talking hardcore info. check out www.teamintegra.net 's articles and youll see what i mean. they are PACKED when it comes to anything. hopefully we'll get some articles up on this board sometime sooon. thanks for the input and suggestions guys

Man, I was SOOOO going to give you a warm welcome to AZ (like I do most) but now all you will get from me is a big fat flaming

There's more info here than you can handle and I'm certain you don't know half the things 3/4ths of the people on here know.

Enjoy your stay!

you are one arogant fucking teenager to just come in here and say "I probably know more than 3/4 of the people on this forum cause most of you know nothing". This forum has some of the most knowledgeable people on here when it comes to cars, engine, suspension, wheels, racing, and everything else you can think of that relates to car. Personally I think you should appreciate the car and get off you high all knowing pedistal that you seem to be on and come back to earth.

drive your cl stock for a year and THEN mod it. then will you fully understand the capabilities of this car. the integra and CL are 2 different worlds even though they carry the acura badge.

I'm going to have to second that motion. I've had both and the CL is totally different than the Integra.

i agree with the kid or dude or tommyt...if you really look at the stuff thats put on acurazine its very informative on an aesthetic level, like wheels or tint

but engine or suspension...not really (everyone just says "slam it") suspension deals with a little bit more than lowering a car

as for engine... the only guy that actually has some engine work done is ayougo but he still doesnt even count because he put the money and work into an f22 which is probably the farthest thing from a performance motor...its ultra low compression, sohc...why would anyone touch such a motor

anyways thats just my opinion...but for things like "will this part fit my car?" or what not ...acurazine has definitely helped

Uhh, cause there is no aftermarket support for the J32 motor in terms of internal mods. You want anything other than a bolt-on its gotta be custom made. Cams, cranks, pistons, rods, valves, springs, all gotta be custom. And the J32A2 is 10.5:1, definetly not low compression, although this kid has a J32A1 with 9.8:1 since its a CL-P.
And what else you gonna do, motor swap? THat is actually very well documented on this site (the 3.5 swaps) as those have done it helped those who did it recently.
Also, none of this comes cheap. An Integra can be had for nothing, parts are cheap compared to CL parts and anything custom is gonna set you back $$$$$$$. This is why few people do it and it isn't very well documented.

K, I'll go easy... Sort of... 's

You two need to learn how to use the search button properly. If you did, you'd find there's more Acura info here than you can shake a stick at. Got a question? USE THE SEARCH BUTTON BEFORE you ask someone. Chances are, it's been covered a million times or more. There are guy's here doing 3.5 conversions so I'm pretty fuckin' sure they know their shit and I'd take advice from just about any one of them. If you guys don't have anything good to contribute to AZ and all you want to do is tell everyone how much of a tool you are by saying "this site doesn't have shit" in so many words, get the hell out of here and I hope the door hits you in the ass on the way out.

WTF are you talking about, "very informative on an aesthetic level?"

The amount of information given on this board is tremendous considering the CL is a very rare breed of car.

There are numerous board members that know the ins-n-outs of the J32 engine. I know I have contributed my fair share of information to this board and also very willing to help curious members, but for someone to "claim" he knows more than 3/4ths of the members here is outrageous and just asking for insult.

They're not ragging on him about being 17.

They're ragging on him saying he assumably knows more information than 3/4 of the members on here.

You just don't go running your mouth off like that, it's just annoying.
