They both had been damaging what few brain cells they had left with booze ! I knew this would happen, why didn't I back out of the situation...

Of course if they were drunk you could have called the police about a drunk driver. And being white trash, they probably had open containers too. They'd never know it was payback unless you stuck around, but a trip to the pokey would be great payback.

if the ding is noticable, write down their licence plate number, call dps to get the rest of the info, tell your insurance company, they will contact their insurance company, and your door will be fixed. this is out of experiance but i had a witness also.

I had the same problem. I was sitting at WAWA at like 3 one morning in Long Beach Island with my friends and some jack ass opens his door and nails mine and then flicks me off when i confront him about it, needless to say we argue with the guy and some other guy with a CL says this kinda
sh!t happens to him all the time, no biggie. Well we follow the guy that hit the door and end up throwing a combination of rocks we found at Wawa and stale Dunkin Donuts Munckins at him. Didnt fix my dent but made me feel alittle better about it

So I am an asian, but whenever I go to a 'asian populated' area, I stay the hell away from other cars. I mean I treat my 1st gen CL like it were a Rolls Royce and park it far away from people.

This one time I was walking back to my car with my gf and like I said above I park far away from other cars. This one chinese guy decides to follow me and park right next to my car...I was like shit!! So I walk a little faster, I turn off my alarm so that it bleeps twice to let them know that the other car's owner is here so be careful....then it happens. His kid in the back...pretty old but still a kid, opens his door hard and slams it into my car! I am about 10 ft away now and I am in shock! To top things off, the kid looks at me, looks down to the car, looks back up at me, then turns and walks calmly away from my and to his parents like nothing happened! So I run over and look at the damage...his blue colors POS left a big blue mark on my silverish colored car and with a dent too. I look to my gf as to ask if it is alright to retaliate....she says..key the fuck out of the car! So I left a very nice message on the side of his car...end of story.

Nothing really you can do about...you can try to report it to the insurance like davematthews-CL-S says, but I never really bother. You have to probably prove it and shit and it takes forever so...I guess just hope that you can buff them out with polish.

What I'd do is get the lisence plate number and file a report with the police. Then call your insurance company and tell them what happened. They should be able to take care of it for you.

 

Okay say that that really does work...calling the police and stuff. So what are you going to do, detain the person from leaving because you think that they hit your car? I am just wondering because if someone said to me.."Hey you hit my car, wait until the police come.." I dont have to wait there...and if they put a hand on me, I can say to the cops that they harrased me can't I?

Say you don't detain them and you just get there plates....what is stopping me from getting someone's plate right now and say that they dinged my car?

I guess what I am trying to say is...you have to work really hard to prove that they are the ones that made the mark. I highly don't think the cops are going to run tests on your car and the other drivers car to see if the little specks of paint left on your car matches...

Yeah, like batra said, they are convenience stores like 7-11 but much nicer. They are from NY to VA. They used to be in CT but my understanding is that they are not there anymore.

at least you guys saw who dinged your car. In my case, I had just bought my cl last october and like 2 days later this happened.

while I was driving in houston on freeway 59 North(where there is a lot of construction any time of day) I heard a sound like BAM, i was like what the hell, i didnt stop or anything but when I got home I saw 2 dings on the passenger side quarter panel.

I was furious, It had to be stone damage from where construction was going on. I cant do anything about it now, and now i was pissed asn I still am.
