What would you do????
What would you do????
What's up guys. ok I don't know what to do right now.
I bought a set of wheels. Before he(seller) ship them out, I told him to
make sure pack them really good. He said he's gonna use UPS packing and make sure them pack safe. I received wheels. They used 2boxes.
They put one wheel on the bottom of the box and threw 1 thin cardboard and and put another wheel on there. That's it!!! WTF! They didn't even use double layer box. The box is so thin! when i lifted those boxes, wheels were moving around inside of the box and making noise!!!
so front lip of the bottom wheel and rear lip of the top wheel were rubbing each other. There are scratchs all over the front lip on 2 wheels(2 bottom one). I'm pretty pissed. Is this UPS fault? or the guy's fault? If i have to repaint them, it's gonna cost me another couple hundred $. I just don't know what to do.
By the way, I'm waiting for his reply.

WOW...
Was there insurance when the wheels were shipped by UPS? If so, you may be able to file a claim with UPS. It wouldn't hurt to talk with UPS and see if they are willing to cover the damages.
Curious to what the seller has to say

Talk to the seller and UPS. UPS covers things up to $100 (maybe $150) automatically. But yea, that does suck.
When I bought mine UPS boxed them up one per box with alot of padding. Call UPS and find out what they cover as far as their own employees screwing up.

sellers fault. boxes wernt damaged.
seller is supposed to packet the item so it doesnt get damaged. now, if the box looked like it was dropped, torn, dented, wrinkled, then its ups' fault

The box itself is so weak. Nobody is gonna use that regular thin box for packing wheels. now i'm trying to file a claim on UPS wepsite. They are asking for this. cost of damaged items and cost is to- repair item or replace item. I don't know which one i have to choose. If i repaint wheels, it's gonna be all 4. cause paint won't match. How much is for painting all 4 wheels? or power coating? I mean usually. $100.00 each?

Wow that sucks. But filing a claim against UPS is even worse. They shipped what was packed. The fact that the seller didn't think to package them correctly is not UPS' fault.
According to seller, UPS did it. I still can't believe they packed them like that. He said claim service doesn't work for him.
I'm not sure what that means. That's why he emailed them.
should i just return them? urrrrr! headache!!!

if you can return them then thats what i would do.
Hey, I refunded your money because UPS said it wasn't their fault because the box was open when they inspected it, and since they were used rims they said the scratches were there already. Sorry.
Thanks man. I received money. sorry man. but WTF! They are motherfuckers!!! They said all the scratches were already there??? BS!! The people who work for UPS said their employees don't care about packages. They kick them on the floor and throw them to each other ect.!!! Fuck UPS!!!
By the way, I still have wheels sticker. I'll send it to you. I'll pm you.

I used to work for UPS and I have friends that still work for Fed ex and both have issues with packages getting messed up because they put so much pressure on the employees to load and unload really fast that the bottom line is somethings get broken, ruined or destroyed I have seen it with my own eyes. It's an unfortunate reality with shipping companies and it just happened to be your turn. I'm glad you got your money back and I'm not at all surprised UPS didn't take responsibility.
