What would make a car bounce a little while riding the brake in traffic?

I was sitting in traffic and I had my foot on the brake....the car in front of me moved forward, so I lightly took my foot off of the brake and the car bounce a little as I moved forward. It felt like I was driving slowly over a rough road. I have know idea what could do that....anyone have any ideas?

I've been trying to see if it does it again....and it hasn't. I guess it could be the road....as for my tranny...its been fine...I have 24,500 miles on the car, which seems to around the milage that they go at!

It could be as simple as a partially applied brake.

If it doesn't happen again I wouldn't worry about it.

Sometimes when you ease off the brake it kinda sticks a little...I have seen this but it usualy makes a noise and it usualy happens after I bring my car through a car wash.

I think if the trans goes on my car....it will get fixed...then get sold. There are too many horror stories of people going through 3-6 trannies.....fuck that noise!

I'm thinkin' its the lowered springs on a rough road. I took it to the dealer last night....they checked it for 45 min. and they said its not the brakes....the motor mounts....or the trans....so who knows
