I just noticed that a couple of times my transmission slipped...as is my gear shift was knocked into neutral...is this a sign that my transmission is going bad? I'm not all that up to snuff on the tranny problem everyone has been bringing up.

I'd like to hear if anyone has gone through this..and how the tranny problem is like in the beginning. Do I have it...or am I imagining things?

 

If the slip means that the rev would go higher with no forward acceleration... I guess you would be in the shop for a new tranny...

 

Like Nashua said, it sounds as if you're going to be needing a new transmission. I had the exact same problem where it seemed like the car would be shifting into neutral and the RPM's would fly way up but the car would not be accelerating at all. Best thing to do is get an appointment scheduled with you dealer ASAP so they can have it taken care of quickly. Best of luck to you.
