What to spend for on 2003 cls6?

I'd like to put some mods on my car. It's a 2003 cls6... silver.

There's an acura near that installs comtech parts.

I'm thinking about an icebox... maybe headers.

Are the comtech exhausts worth it??? And does anyone has a pic of their car with the exhaust intalled???

Anything else might be nice??? I want the car to still be under warranty and it's a lease that will end in 2 years so don't want to spend to much either

what's the best mod you have put on your CL... mechanical and other????

the best mod you can do with the CL to gain most HP would be some comptech headers! they are deffinately worth it...I say look for some used ones around the forum...

about exhauts? Are the comtech the best. I saw a couple pics of Cls with nice round exhaust coming out... quite nice. I don't want the car to be more noisy on 70mph cruising. But would like a nice rumble when accelerating.

I got my headers put in this week and I will have to say that is the best power mod other than a SC. I also have the Icebox and the Comptech exhaust. All 3 together makes for a real good improvement over the stock CL's I've driven. The headers makes a big difference.
If money is an issue, I would go with the Icebox and the catback. The Comptech exhaust are the best ones.
Good luck man. Have fun.

I'm still 100% stock, but if I was to mod my CLS6, I would add CT headers, H&R springs, and the CT icebox in that order...

There really isn’t any reason not to have the CT Headers & Icebox installed. They’ll continue to keep the car looking and sounding almost like stock while at the same time giving you an increase in power that you can feel. Also if the Comptech headers are too pricey there are a few other brands out there to be had for cheaper. Not as many for a 6spd but there are some alternatives.

The axle-back exhausts on the other hand won’t really give you any increase in power, (maybe 1-2 hp) however they’ll dramatically change the look and sound of your car. I personally love the way they look on the car and fit perfectly in the rear. The sound they make can be compared to the exhaust note of a G/Z, however the stock G/Z does still sound better, but it gives you a general idea. Its not a fart can.

Something the G/Z exhaust note doesn’t have that the CT exhausts do have is the droning while cruising on the highway. I’ve had my exhausts for about 8 months now and personally I don’t even here it anymore. You’ll find that when cruising along you can vary your rpms to almost all but eliminate the sound.

Unlike the Icebox and Headers the axle-back exhausts is the only mod that should make you ponder your decision.

Here’s some pics of them on my car; don’t forget I have the b-pipe as well.

thanks chaptorial for your pics and all the info. I really love the look of the exhaust. I guess I'll do that... headers, icebox and exhaust.
