How long have you been driving a stick? The hardest thing you'll find is getting a good launch down. I don't own the 6mt so all I can say is practice launching at different rpms and slipping the clutch if need be. Make sure you shift at or a little after redline w/o hitting the rev limiter and shift quickly. Hope that helps.

Every car is different. You need to have your car dynoed and see where the hp and torque curves are. It will give you a better idea when to shift. More importantly it's all practice and trial and error......

I have a question about shifting. I'm going to get a shift light and I don't know if i should set it before redline, or for my peak HP. Any suggestions?

Titand19,

What you should be asking is where will my RPM fall with the next shift? Ideally, it should stay in VTEC range, thus with that, there's a formula for finding the ideal shift point. Do a search on Yahoo or google.com
