my girlfriend's type s road lights went out. what number bulbs do i have to get? in the manual, it says 12v 6CP. couldn't find that anywhere. where could i get good white bulbs? thanks alot! be kind...i'm from the 1st gen.

 

im almost positive its Polarg M6 bulb that you can get in white. Its a wedge bulb, but when I tried to replace my M6 yesterday, the bulb expanded with the heat and cant get it out. I ahve to take off the bumper and smash it out.

 

You could get the Polarg M6 or the PIAA 19224. Doesnt EXACTLY match Hid but it's close. Plus it looks alot better than stock IMO.

 

I bought PIAA lights that were recommended here & they don't fit. Are the Polar's a 194 size wedge?

The PIAA's are twice the size. I think Scooter gave the number on a previous post...maybe I transposed the numbers.

 

* Stock Bulb, 12V 5W, Acura 2002 CLS, Acura P/N 33301-SA0-741, qty 2, ($3.36)

* PIAA Bulb, 12V 18W, P/N PIAA 19224, qty 2, ($15) (I installed these instead of the stock. They closely match the headlights in color)

 

Is there some trimming to do for the PIAA's?

 

If you have the PIAA 19224 bulbs there is no trimming to do. But your right the hole to put the bulb in is a little small. All you gotta do is angle it right and it should go in with no problems. At least it did when i put them in.

 

i checked on ebay and couldn't find those numbers for the bulbs. where would be another place that sells these bulbs for a good price? thanks alot!

I got my PIAA 19224 bulbs from Winchester Auto Supply, in Campbell, CA. Also, the bulbs just fit (a little tight) into the stock housing.
