What is my 2001 CL worth?
Hey guys
I wanted to get your opinion on what I should ask for my car. Unfortunately my job will be providing me with a car so I will have to sell my CL .
Here are the car specs:
I live in Los Angeles btw (for price reasons):
2001 Acura CL Type S with Navigation
Black
84,000
Black Leather
Chrome Type S Wheels
Tint
M5 Spoiler
Other than that the car has no modifications. I have taken very well care of this car. The paint is very good (few small line scratches over the life time). The car has been garage kept and as I said, I babied it ever since I got it. No accidents and no mechanical problems. I don't use the tip-tronic option so there hasn't even been a sign that the transmission is slipping.
Please let me know what I should be asking for this car. If you need any more info I will gladly provide it.
Thanks

i belive the kbb value is pretty accurate but i just bought my cls for 11k with 90k miles tint and navi the exterior was in pretty good condition and so was the interior. the only thing was the color was black and the owner let bird poop sit in a few places which ate away the clear coat and the sterring wheel is showing signs of wear both of which are hardly noticable except to me i hope this helps

to make your car more presentable...
sell the m5 spoiler.. it will make no difference to your sale (if you can get it off cleanly) sell that separately.. hell i'm interested
make the car presentable.. yes that means you have to wash it, vacuum... even detail it if you have the time.
gather up all the records, even oil exchanges.. it shows that you're responsible for your car
be friendly on the phone, always call them back in a reasonable amount of time... always sound like someone's coming to see the car the same day...
the buyer will always try to lower the price, you can't let in too much, but u have to lower it a few hundred... ask them to pay cash and report the sale lower so the buyer will save some money on tax.... tell them you are willing to do that, but don't go ridiculously low... report it something like 2-3 grand lower than the sale price...
i just sold my 4runner so i went through all that crap... GOOD LUCK

Hey guys thanks for all the info. Corrosion I would consider it but right before I decide to sell. The chrome wheels with the chrome door linings looks very nice.
