what is the lowest you can go on tein cf6 coilovers?
I know this should be in the other section but i am just not getting a response in my suspension thread on this matter.
searched for 3 days now. on and off. and simply cannot find the answer. (proof of front and rear specs)
I don't know much about suspension
however I do know they are comfort sport teins and have no more than 6k on them. cf6 is the code. I do know the new cf7's can go -1.9 I believe. but I wanna Lower the car significantly so what should i do fellas. go all the way lowered?
and just to make sure to lower the suspension I lower the rings supporting the spring correct? (yes I am a noob in this area .. laugh it up):-)

After i installed my basics, i just kept adjusting them until i was happy. You should do the same. It's all personal preference. Do you drive the CL in the winter? Why not wait until the spring to install them.
I'm pretty sure my basics have the following capability: 1.9-3.3F, 1.5-2.5R. And yes, spin the lower ring to where you want it, then spin the upper one until it's tight onto the lower ring. Did they come with the wrenches used to tighten and loosen the rings?

So ALL those threads on the coilovers.... if I were to measure them start to the end THAT is how much height adjustment I have?
these are custom ordered Cf6 comfort sport teins. they are not listed for the CL, which is why I'm having such difficulty finding the answer
no i gotta buy those wrenches unfortunately. 30$
I plan on installing them in the spring/summer. not now. I just wanna know my shizzle before I dive into anything.
Wicked tuning camer kit is in the mail enroute 100 to my door... now that IS wicked
and soon i'll be ordering the upper control arms from ingalls. but those are 400 :-(
so total will be 1300 to lower the car properly, which isn't much i feel.

i have the tein wrenches if you want to use them. But i am getting rid of them in the spring.
I guess the answer is yes, that's how much adjustment you'll have. I initially set my coilovers at just over half way down, and i started adjusting from there. You're going to be playing with the height no matter what, so no need to worry about it. Just pick a spot to start, lower the car back down and see if you like it. Then once you are happy with the drop, put your camber kit on and get your alignment done.
