What a loaner!!!!

Was in Portland visiting my brother/sister-in law. Her Lexus SUV had to go in for a check engine light and on a Sunday. We drive it in, tell the Manager on duty the check engine light came on. Filled out the form, dropped the keys in the service box and the Manager brings the loaner around..

2002 ES300 with 150 miles on it...

Very classy dealership, no questions asked and treated like royalty. And what a loaner... No cheesy Saturn or Focus..

BTW. The ES 300 was a car I considered. Nice car but (yawn!!!)

Lexus is always like that. I know when my friend brings in his '91 LS400 they give him a pretty new LS400. Looks like Lexus knows how to treat people. lol

Yup!! I was blown away by the Customer Service and the whole set-up. To be fair, they are higher up on the 'ladder' than us since their cars sticker 10-20% more..

Type S, have you tried Acura in Southcenter. They have been pretty cool with loaners, but I did buy from them. I have had an RSX as a loaner..

I get my work done there as well (SouthCenter). They've always treated me right. I like the Bellevue dealership since it's so close, but SouthCenter has not doen anything to make me change my business, so I'm sticking with them. RSX loaner - no problem down there. Not much on the lot to look at though when getting a quick fix or service. Bellevue's got a much better supply on teh lot to wander 'round a browse.

I go to Acura of Concord and they have given me a Volvo S60 and my current loaner is a 2002 TL. I'm getting my power seats fixed. There have been a couple of people that have had problems with them, but I haven't had a problem with them yet. Crossing my fingers.. . .

Continental Acura in Lisle gave me a 2002 TL loaner. I've always been treated very well there. When I brought my wife's 2000 Audi TT to the Audi dealership, all I got was a Ford Escort. This is one reason why I love Acura.

Acura blows ass, plain and simple.

I can't decide whats worse, the service, or the fit and finish of the car.

An Acura is NO where near the same class as a Lexus!

OR Mercedes, or BMW, or Audi.
(their top competitors)

I'd put Acura in the same class as Volkswagon, cept alot more expensive.

Part of the price you pay for a Lexus. All Lexus dealers are required to loan you a lexus if your car is in for service. Some Acura dealerships do too, but this is up to them. They are not forced to give a loaner car just cuz you have to leave the car for a day. Would you pay the extra $5-8K for service like that?

not really if you bought a is300 or even a used car from them they still treat you the same. i really really miss the servcie and the quality . i had a lexus before but it was not as fun to drive as the acura (main down fall). my next car will probably be a lexus again i hate acuras service in my area. my parents switched from bmw and benz to to lexus. the service from lexus is that much better.

Technically speaking Lexus dealers are only supposed to loan u car only if it needs 4hrs or more of service. But they are usually pretty good. If u develop a rapport with a dealer, u can drive a loaner for days for an oil change. I get free shirts, cups all sorts of crap. Buying the car is really a lil bit of the experiece, owning it is what it's all about.

And I love the free cokes and cookies

I just got a toyota camry loaner from the Acura dealership and I kinda like it. It is VERY QUIET on the inside and the base audio system sounds better than our bose. I can just imagine how much nicer a ES300 would be. If only they had a larger version of the IS. My only complaint was that it was so small and had no trunk space.
