PAA CAI? (X-Type
) I just realized I have no clue because it came attached. Anyone know? Can a replacement be used? I hear AEM is better. (Long thread from TL.COM).

All my love letters to Xephyr Performance Customer Relations Dept seem to go unanswered.

Get a K&N filter cleaner and re-oil kit.... any performance shop or mail order place will have it.
GTO can get one from AutoSport on RT17 north across from Ramsey Acura.....
Good mail order places include Summit or Jegs, they both should have web sites....

I haven't read that TL thread but K&N has been around a long time and my first thought when I saw AEM switched to their own filters was that it was just a way for them to save money. (Guess I should go find that TL thread now...

Thanks guys, thanks Steve. I'll look at that place. I haven't checked it in awhile but I am hoping it does not have a hole worn in the bottom from rubbing. I gotta go look one of these days!

If the filter does have a hole, just bring it to Sal at AutoSport..... He has or can get any K&N filter for ya.....
The cleaning process is easy....
- Just brush off the big chunks of dirt.
- Spray on the cleaner and rinse off.
- After the filter dries spray new oil on it and let it soak in.
- Re-install filter.
*instructions are included in each kit, good luck

here's what u're looking for...
K&N RE-0810 9" Conical Hi-Flo Filterchargers
replacements shoudnt be needed unless they have been punctured are badly damaged... not in scope of ordinary wear and tear... the cleaning kit is a great alternative and takes about 20-30 mins
