what is the highest octane available in your state?

if you state allows an octane rating higher than 92(calif.), how does it affect the performance of our vtec engines? just out of curiousity.

110 or 115 I forget... but to fill our tank would be around $50.

Pointless unless you can turn a boost knob.

Does anyone notice a difference when going from 91 to 93?

In Pacific Palisades, there is a gas station that sells 100 octane. I have been there a few times.

Here is the link to the thread I posted with pictures of the actual station with phone # etc:

http://www.acura-cl.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000683.html

I also took Techniques info and went to the 76 gas web site. The site said that there were 2 76 stations on the west side that had 100 octane. Since I have not been to these two, I can not comment on the status of leaded or unleaded, but do to Cal regs, I find it hard to believe that if would be leaded gas. But until I get some at the actual station, I can't guarantee it.

Performance improvement from 92 to 100 octane:

Butt-o-meter say 100 octane gas that I got improved performance. I did not do a track run or GTECH with the 100 octane (or 9x octane) -- there was varying amounts of 92 left in the tank.

I DID NOTICE a change when I put the 100 octane in with 1/2 (or less) of 92 in the tank.

In several of the Citgos in N.C they have 100 octane. The cost of the gas and the diffrence in performance is not worth it.

01 3.2 CLS Non-Navi
San Marino Red
Tinted 35% all the way
Winter Rubber mats
Piaa High Beam lights (Not worth it)

I wonder if the Citgos is really crummy gas.

The 100 octane sold in Los Angeles makes a big difference that can really be felt (vs the stock 92 octane Shell I put in).
