From what I've seen it seems most people either reuse the stock one or install a new factory one and don't use the one that comes with the headers.

I just picked up a set of CL Manual Trans headers on ebay - new for $140 shipped.
They're stainless - and have "spoon sports" welded to them. They have serial numbers at the base of the upper manifold on both pieces - and are much nicer quality than the OBX headers I had on my CL-P.
They have the flex pipe bubble on the front piece of the A Pipe, and I had no fitment issues after I took the jackstands out from under the swaybar mounts (needed to be on the frame to get the rear bank into position on the head).
I don't feel a tremendous gain like I did on the CL-P - but it definitely pulls harder in VTEC. lower revvs.
I doubt that they are Spoon Sports - but they are nice headers for the cash when options are very limited.
PM me and I'll link you to the seller if you're interested.

Ok everyone is saying different things about the bolts/gaskets/o ring
So 8.8 stength 10x40 1.25 bolts, new factory o ring, new factory head to header gasket? What about the other gaskets?

I have a nice set of hand tools and a torque wrench, how easy is it to do your self. What should I expect to pay if I have it done

It is actually cheaper/easier for me to buy a whole new set of header's than try and fix my leaking flex pipe, LOL.
...I just placed an order for a 2nd set, just for the A-pipe.

My big issue is finding time to take my car to a shop to figure out if/how we can repair the pipe. I will just repair the bad pipe(s) on my own time and sell that set to recoup some of the cost.

Yes the headers will fit all AT 3.2s...not the MT though because of the tranny. Scoop them while they are hot, I paid 115 plus 15 shipped and almost feel I got ripped now
My friend has driven in his car on the highway with me doing WOT and he describes it as "a little rice sounding but sick as hell".

i paid 97 bucks too, they are just giving these things away. Is there a gasket that goes from the pipe to the CAT? If so do we use the stock one or the one they give us (havent gotten mine in the mail yet)

I'm not sure. I guess i'll find out when I get mine. I've read on here that the stock ones will work better than the ones that they will send, if they send any for that part of the exaust. If anyone knows can you please let us know??

Just a quick question. Will these XS headers make you fail a smog test? I've heard that the comptechs are CARB certified(are the XS ?), i don't know what that means, but i figured it meant they would pass smog. Just wanted to know.

EDIT: Even though the XS headers are not CARB stamped, I wouldn't say they are necessarily illegal.

I would highly recommend wrapping them before the install. It cuts down on the tinny sound you get from the thin walls, but you still get more rumble than stock when you give it some gas. You also will hold more heat in the pipes which will help the hot exhaust gas flow more freely. It took me 2 rolls of 50'x1" wrap to cover the whole kit.
