What is a good launch speed.
I just got my car and w/ my crazy work schedule I haven't been able to take it the track. But I'm gonna eventualy catch a street race before I can take it the track and feel out what perfect shift points and etc. Anyway my question is this of the line without doing a burnout what is the best RPM to launch and not get that much wheel spin from. Thanx guys can wait to eat up some G35 etc.
Me just AEM CAI for now but CT headers and B-pipe should be on by December.

Why would anyone care about the tranny, it is covered by the warranty.
I launch at 2250 RPM start the brake torque once the first yellow is on.

TQ > MPG
6 speed with stock tires is gonna need alot of practice. I have found 2k rpms and some clutch slippage to give the cleanest & most aggressive launch. Auto's are much easier, just hold the brake with your left foot, bring the rpms up to 1500 without moving, and then floor it and let off of the brake at the same time.

I have a 6spd and man do those tires spin alot, even with low rpm launch. I know launching and doing all that other good stuff is bad for your car but I don't really like the fact of ridding the clutch to or slipping the clutch whatever that's called but thanx for the info any way I guess I'll have to get new tires and springs but who cares I like the top end downshifting intake roaring type race better than line racing.
