im gonna be doing some heavy modifying to the faceplate behind all the volume/tuner knobs. im going to be taking out the stock cd system and doing a little something else but i wanna make a faceplate out of the same material as our stock one is.

i called 3 different acura dealers, customer service, tech support, talked to 2 service managers and parts managers, called crutchfield, and all did not have an answer.

its like i have to call japan to see what its made out of.

i know its plastic, but im sure its a certain kind of plastic.

its amazing that nobody has answers or cant direct me in the right direction for the answer. does anyone know the acura powerplant number in japan?

I bought some flat black paint from Napa autoparts and it matched the factory color perfectly. I built my new piece out of sheet metal.

Man, if you find out, I would love to know-I will be doing some serious stereo work myself and would love to have some of that plastic to match.
