What is everyone getting for Milage on their CL-S 6spd?

So I am curious to learn what everyone is getting on their cars. If you don't have a CL-S 6spd give you mileage anyway. I have one, so I'm more curious about everyone with 6spd's.

I'm asking cause I've had a shift in mileage and I'm trying to figure out why. I was getting 21-22 mpg. I have the parts listed in my sig. Now I'm getting between 16 & 18 mpg. The only thing that has changed is that I am not longer driving 15 miles to work and 15 miles back home everyday.

Would like to hear what everyone else is getting and if they have any ideas why my mileage has gone down.

Thanks!

I get 22-23mpg highway, but there's alot of stop and go traffic. I've gotten 26-28 on long highway trips... I don't do much "city" driving...

I saw my gas mileage go up a little, as they must have switched over from the winter blend of gas up here in Mass...

Usually about 30mpg highway and 20mph city, for an average of 25-26mpg combined. I drive 30miles each way, with moderate traffic and about 75% highway.

I have gotten 32mpg on all highway 75 mph cruise control, and as low as 20mpg when crawling through a winter storm.

I'm surprised to get such good mileage as I drive to the gym every day and it's 5 miles of stop lights every couple blocks so there's lots of stop and go driving.

I usually get around 22-24 with normal driving which is stop and go in rush hour to and from work with some city driving and anywhere from 28-32 on the highway depending on how loaded down I am... The headers seemed to help a little on the mileage...

You know the CLS calls for premium fuel, right ?? You're losing out on some HP, and because the ecu is backing off the timing to guard against detonation, you're probably losing out on some MPG too..

I don't like "per tank" quotes... How low to you let it go ??

We've got a 17 gallon tank, so you could be getting 15 mpg (265/17) or something a little better if you fill up with about 1/8-1/4 of a tank left (265/12 = 22mpg)...

People "tank up" at different times... We've got people here that don't get gas until the low fuel light comes on, and others like me who get gas anywhere from 1/4 tank to right before the light comes on...

When I "tank up" I get between 12-14 gallons and run anywhere from 275-300 miles...

I know I sold Acuras for 4 years. The thing with the gas is you spend more get more miles but really I've done 91 and 87 and it's about the same in the end I guess. I told people they don't really save money going with 87 but I guess $4 less per fill up is $4 even though I'm not saving the cash.

I know I'm losing some HP but as my commute is 1 mile in the city I can't really crank her up. When I go on trip or into the mountains I use the 91. I just put in 15.5 gallons and had 300 miles on the clock. So that's about 19 mpg. Now that I think of it... 91 or 87 I always average 19 mpg. If it's only highway that jumps up to high 20s. So I guess I did save $4!

I've run the thing down to fumes once. Coasted into the gas station. That not good for the jets so I've never done it again! My car is stock except for K&N.

I'm averaging 27 mpg. There is a noticeable difference running 87 vs 93, in my car anyway. One thing to keep in mind is where you buy your gas. A lot of stations are already switching over to E85, which has less energy content and will cause anywhere from 15 to 40% loss in fuel economy. Our brilliant government at work again

19-22 around town. On the road 26-27, best ever was one tank that got just over 29 on a long run through East Texas.

Wow, do people have crazy lead feet or just poorly running cars? Even if I beat the hell outta it I can't manage anything under 22mpg mixed.

i like to snap vtec every now n then no doubt but i dont have a crazy lead foot. i'm pretty sure your 6spd is getting the best outta all of us 6spds, so i wouldnt consider all of us to have poorly running cars. maybe just yours running better than most of us.

i would kill to get 27 mixed in my car. or maybe i could just steal your car

This is for my CL-S auto:
City ~22 MPG
City / hwy mixed ~25-27 MPG
All hwy ~31 MPG with a max of 33-1/2 MPG with some twisties
That's with being quick off the line and fast on the hwy

I have a K&N filter and that's about it. Just turned over 80k miles on the drive back from Indiana on Sunday. That's with wider winter performance tires on. Need to get some summer tires soon.

My results are right in line with yours. Even on my worst tanks, I was never below 22mpg. Currently I average about 25-26mpg with 235 series tires and 145k on the clock.
