What does upgraded engine mounts do, and are they worth it?

I'm purchasing my 03 CL-S 6MT this week. I'm already got the itch to mess around with it. I was over on the Group Buy section and came across Engine Mount request.

Can someone explain to me what the benifit of doing Front, Rear, and/or Side Engine mounts would be. And are they worth doing early on or later in the upgrade process.

Thanks guys.

Well for starters we have crappy mounts that like to fail. SO upgrading to any thing better would be a bonus. 2nd they keep the motor from moving. Less movement is better power delivery to the wheels (along with helping to get rid of axle hop)

You may not like the added stiffness & vibrations that will result. A word of caution.
