What do you think???

Hello guys,

I did some custom work and would love some opinions. First, I added car colored mesh grill (from Home Depot, gutter guard material). Next I opened up the fake vents and painted them car color. Next, I added an AEM CAI which the filter is right behind the now opened vents. Lastly, I painted the area behind the front symbol to match the car. If anyone has any questions on how I did any of it, please let me know.

Every thing looks great. Did you have to solder any of the mesh material?

Looks real good, but I prefer the normal silver mesh and chrome look. Definately unique

BTW, is that an AEM intake...it lokos good? Did you notice a BIG difference in sound? I'm looking for an intake mostly for the sound, but if performance is there too its a plus.

I'm not digging the mesh or vents. CIA looks nice.

The mesh would probably look better black.

About the mesh, I bought a piece of gutter guard that was 3ft long, long enough to cover the opening. About the CAI, it is an AEM, which I painted to match the car. You can hear a little difference at low speed, but once the VTEC kicks in, it sounds great!!!

Hey man, coming from a fellow SMR owner, I think it looks great. It's different, but I like how you extended the mesh to cover the back of the fog light openings. Looks like quality work!!!

The mesh extending behind the fog lights is a nice touch.

In regards to your red Acura emblem, did you adapt one from another model (Integra) or do something custom to that?

I found some before for a TL in black chrome but everything else is always model specific to the Integra.

Are they the same size? Apologize in advance if that's a stupid question....

Hey guys, Thanks for all the complements!! To answer some questions.
Actually, the mesh is only in the big opening.
The vent area (fog light area), I took off the vents, opened them up to be like real vents and then painted them red.
About the red emblem, I took the whole front grill off, took the red outside ring off, the chrome pieces off. Then I painted the whole grill gloss black with Plasticote paint, then PAINTED the area behind the emblem red. Then I put 3 coats of clear over the whole grill to make it stand out. A bit of work, but worth it!!
