So anyone who has cold weather will completely understand they don't like handling the gas cap, or filling their car for that matter. Plus if ur a businessman in a spiffy suit then gas smelling hands aren't appealing. This product eliminates that problem.

the reviews are all over the map.
The way i see it, if it throws a code then you can return it and get your money back. I think I am gonna buy one tonight when I get off work. For 20$ i cannot see what there is to lose.
Just wondering what you all think, is it worth it, will it last... etc.

lol we have gas tank door locks on our CL's. How is this going to jeaprodize your fuel? if someone wants to ruin your ride, they'll accomplish the task regardless.
StreetKA ....Key to open what cap? the gas cap? do you got an aftermarket set-up
am i missing something here? i just twist mine off and then it is supposed to sit in the door while ur filling.
I'm gonna pop the door open from inside the car, pick up the gas nozzle shove it in there, fill up, pull it out, close door and FINITO..
did i miss something

you be still touching the gas pump's handle even with the new gas cap
and if you are that worried about the gas cap having gas on it ,clean it off occasionally with a hose , when you are washing the car
but yeah really only way to avoid the smell would be to never get out of the car (for me seems to be more on the ground from all those drips over the years
, then my shoes smell like gas for a little bit [and no i do not step in any puddles ethier]) , so just let the attendent pump it for you (and tip them too, to be nice first of all, and so they will actually pump it next time for you and not scratch the paint or something with the nozzle; payback is a bitch)
and if you must keep your hands clean, buy a box of disposable gloves, that you can just toss afterwards (make sure they are gasoline resistent too)

piss in a bottle then go toss some on every nozzle, then that way you also don't get public indecincie (sp?)(nudity) charged against you, but it will also let you be able to get more nozzles also, with out having to hold it, and run between every nozzle
), and then park over the tank fillups, and just pump it yourself striaght from the tank

SO i went out and bought it... worked fine... i guess but there was a hidden problem I did not think of.
When ur done pumping the left over gas in the nozzle spills all over the front of the new gas cap when u are removing it.... BALZZZ....
so i shall return it tomorrow and get my money back. I'll just say i got a CEL lol.
well it was worth a shot.
looks like the general consensus was correct! damnit lol

It's plenty cold in Minnesota (well below zero last week) and I've never had any issues handling my gas cap. Not sure what you're doing that you smell like gas afterwards either. I can be in shorts or a tux and I don't leave smelling like gas when I'm done filling up.

no, normally i never spilled a drop...
I bought this thing to see if it could make it so i neve have to touch the gas cap again... my logic: why not.
but it made it so the remaining gas in the nozzle spilled onto the new cap thingy as I couldn't angle the nozzle upwards to get rid of the last bits of gas. so in essence this made filling up even MORE of a messy job, as gas would trickle ver the cap and then sit in the bottom contour of the recessment
