Stop and think about this type of stuff before you post. If you go through with this you will have meetings with Cops daily...it's illegal to drive a car without a muffler installed on it.

Do it the right way and get the Comptech Exhaust, Greddy Evo 2's if you can find it and do a full catback exhaust, it will sound nice and look even nicer without the rice effect.

Just unbolt the mufflers and give it a try. Make sure you get up really early and do it. Then just drive up and down your street for an hour or two to see how you like it.

Trust me on this i have done this twice before: Keep your stock mufflers, go to a muffler shop, and tell them to remove just your mid-muffler. It's as loud as it can be without being excessively loud and obnoxious. It has a classy tone to it, does not interfere with power at all, and does not effect emissions. You can hear how my car sounds without it right here (The video does not do it just and does not show the sound that it makes when it's being driven): Link

P.S. I know, im a Ginger, but i got style.

Its loud, and it sounds like shit. I had no torque when I drove around with not mufflers. It felt like I was back in highschool driving me obnoxiously loud and rediculously slow Civic.

no. thats wrong. comptechs have a set tone that they make, you removing the mid muffler just increased the decibels of the comptech noise.

stock mufflers sound like doodooshit with the resonator removed.

Not louder at idle, but definately above 2k rpms, and especially with loud on the motor.

I paid 300 shipped for mine, but it really depends on condition, age and shipping costs.
as for install, just DIY. its a simple bolt on/bolt off

theres really no "cheap" part for this car. its a luxry brand. If you can afford to buy parts that cost upwards of a couple hundred, great. If you can't...well you picked the wrong car to get.

I got a set of CTs used for a TL for $250, then traded with someone on the TL side who had the CL set, I just paid shipping. I had to cut off the bolts on the old mufflers too, because just as every fucking bolt under this car, it was rusted and stripped. Once I cut it off though, the new exhaust went on in 20 minutes with new hardware.

yea, I got it used. New is like triple the price.

You dont need a jack, you can just park with one side of the car on the curb infront of your driveway. you can use the car jack too on a level surface, all you need is a bit of clearance to go under your car and unbolt the mufflers. A breaker bar will help. I think its like a 14mm nut.

It really is easy. Two bolts for each then slide them off the hanger. You can do it in no time.
