my friend got one and i call this "keeping up with the joneses"
whatever.
ive got a 3.0 cl ('99)
ok i figure im down 27 hp and 17 torque, but he loses power to the awd, but he makes it up because hes got a stick.
will i beat him with h/i?
also, has anyone dyno-tested the obx headers? anyone know a good place to get them?

Dude, you need to head down to you local performance shop, march inside, and say............"hey, I need NAWZZZZ!! The big bottles....you know what, make it two.......and I need it by tonight!" For some reason I remembered that line from fast and the furious.......oh, its because it reminded me of the eclipse trying beat the rx7.
But seriously, start dropping weight (back seats, any stereo equipment like box/subs/amps, loose the spare and tools, etc.............you wouldn't beleive what kind of a difference dropping 100-150lbs. If you want to do something custom, find a wrecked CL-S that got hit in the back, and get the engine! 1990 CL putting out 260 (@crank) should do some damage. If all else fails, just get a nitrous bottle.....but dont forget to make two line....one to the engine and one to you, so that you can laugh at him while taking off.
And that was my 2 cents!
((And before anybody makes some smartass remarks concerning not being able to inhale automotive nitrous...I already know that it has sulfer in it!))

Do what I do, strip the car, and take a couple of laxitives. Wait 15-20 mins and shit out as much as u can. I once shaved off 8lbs by doing that. I mean thats like .001 of a sec, and u know every second counts.

I'd suggest racing him off a roll because off a light he'd just launch on you hard since the wrx is all wheel drive. THe headers and intake would give you a good chance. If you really want to get him add the f-max or some other turbo to your car.
OH $HIT WTF am I talking about. The last time I was at the track I (LONG time ago) I was staged up at the light against a WRX. I sprayed a 75 shot and roatsed the guy out of the hole. My tranny began to slip in 3rd
and I ended up doing a 13.7. The guy came up to me and the 1st words out of his mouth was, "how much u spraying". The guy said he was stock and if I remember he did a 14.1 .
So if u do go the N2O way, spray out of the hole, like 2.8K. When we talked it over the guy said that he was gaining on me, yea right with nitrous
, it was my tranny slippin.
