what could be the problem

as i was driving today my radio would go off for a second or two and when it went out the abs, vsa, the big vsa exclamation mark and side airbag label would light up on my dash then go out. after it went out the radio would come back on. it did it a few times while i was driving just now.

i was afraid it might be the alternator? the battery is pretty new. what would it cost to replace the alternator? would anyone else have any input on what it could be?

my buddy said it could be a bad ground or loose battery terminals.

Loose battery cables would do it, even corroded ones too. This has been going on with my head unit lately but i Havent gotten all the lights, Just the head unit itself resetting. My terminals are pretty corroded though.

I just had the same thing today. I had the battery neg off, while I was changing the fuel pump relay, and forgot to tighten the terminal up. I bet since your battery is new it would be a loose terminal, like mine was. It was doing the same exact thing.

It kinda stopped happening so it lost a bit of urgency on my list.
