what is the best aftermarket navi out there?

Well there might be a chance ill let the cl-s go. I was looking at some other used cars but everything i like so far does not have a navi. So i am not researching for aftermarket navis but i cant find much that compares it to OEM type navi system. Anyone used both a aftermarket and factory navi? if so any major differences???

I would say that the best nav out right now is the pioneer avic-n1.

http://www.avic-n1.com/

It is an alll-in-one unit with dvd.mp3/nav all built into one unit and the 3-d view and display options are awesome. There is even a performance meter built in to monitor the cars speed, g-force, acceleration ect...

i would have to disagree and say that the best nav out right now is alpine nav

I actually have a Nav-200 unit in my apartment room right now NIB that I'd be willing to let go if you really wanted it.

avic-n1 is an all in one unit, but you have to take the nav dvd out and switch back and forth if you wanna change destinations between listening to mp3 cds.

I agree I work in the industry of aftermarket navi's and I have played with the alpine unit and the pioneer avicn1. I I have one if you are interested. The avicn1 is cheap, affordable, plays dvds and everything, with a detachable consol piece. Which is better than nothing, and touchscreen, with voice direction as well with a cheap add on of voice regonition. That you can say restaurants or other things, plus 12 million points of interests. And telephone directory. With Vehicle Dynamics and rear view camera option. I think its an awsome piece and totally affordable compared to other navi units.
