What Auto Insurance Company do YOU have for your CL ?

Hello everyone,

Well as you all know im only 18. And i have a 2001 CLS.

Anyhow,

American Service Insurance or some other company equal to that is asking
210 a month for FULL coverage on my car, with 100/300/100< i think the last ones 100 too.

And AAA is charging me like 325 a month

Allstate...523 a month..

What insurance do you have? And which is the LEAST hassle full when you have an accident or balanced?

Let me know
Thanks

Driving history
Tickets-1 Nov 2004 Michigan, I live in IL
Accidents-1 no fault, sept 2004 tow truck backed into me. said i hit him from the back....i was in a mcdonalds parkin lot.
thats it.

I have State Farm Insurance:

23 yo female + 2 speeding tickets - "good student discount" = $480 per 6 months (full coverage)

EDIT: I've never had any problems with service. I've been with them for 9 years and love them

State Farm. Works out to be $1600 a year for a 2003 Pathfinder and a 2004 I35.

I had Travelers for my CL. It was about $1600 a year because I lived in a high risk area.

I've got Travelers... in MA...

It's like 1525 a year... but $395 of that is a surcharge for a bullshit accident I was in years ago....

The insurance companies got the state to change the rules on surcharges for unsafe drivers... I had an accident on 9/5/2002 and for 2006 I actually had a good driving credit... but they extented the number of years they go back to 6 sometime in 2006, so there went my credit, and I have to pay a surcharge instead even tho' I hadn't gotten in anymore accidents F'ing Masshole Politicians

<--- Greenmonster has a pet peeve about people who don't at least fill in what State they live in when threads like this come up..

01 CLS, CA, 27

You'll never find insurance that low. Women usually pay half of what men pay. It's not that women are better drivers, they just don't take the stupid chances that men take.

Also you get a discount for things like multiple vehicles insured, being married, being a good student, years of driving experience, etc. Basically things that make you less of a risk.

For a 6 month policy I'm still paying ~1000 (Progressive). Clean record (finally). I used to have a few tickets on my record and I was paying ~2000 per 6 months.

Unfortunately being an 18 year old male places you into the highest risk bracket. Surprisingly enough the CLS falls into a high risk bracket by itself. It's considered to be a sports car by insurance company standards . That combination makes for a nasty insurance bill.

Good luck!

I cant BELIEVE that it falls in sports coupe...well yea i can but still its an acura?!

before i hit 18 at 16 when i got my eclipse i was like at 694 a month. THAT SUCKED , Metlife...made a claim 2 weeks later when the tow trucked backed into me.

What would you guys RATE THE QUALITY of your insurance? does it matter between a well known substandard and an a+ carrier?

24, Houston (Galleria area), married, Master's , good record, two cars...

O6 TL nav & 04 Jeep GC nav & I pay 200/mo, for the 1.5 yrs the aforementioned qualities have been in effect, with Geico. Before, I was unmarried, uneducated and live in Nacogdoches, TX (betcha can't say that) and paid twice that for my TL & a 2002 Ford Esco....nevermind.

Although I HATE insurance companies in general, I despise Geico the least by a long shot. Customer service is fantastic and really really easy to get in touch with. Website's also great.

Esurance - $350/month for my 2 cars

2 speeding tickets (one was 30 over )

They've been pretty decent with claims, but I liked State Farm alot better since they dont send an adjuster.

esurance

$846 per 6 months for a 2001 CL-S and a 2002 Grand Cherokee. My wife wrecked the jeep 8 months ago and my driving record is less than perfect.

Get a quote, they saved me $100 a month vs progressive.

24/male. multiple driving violations to include, speeding, reckless driving, and attempting to evade the police. been canceled by 4 different companies, in the "high risk" category, and pay.........$642 per mth for a 01 cls + 05 Ninja with usaa. no discounts. thats prob. more that most of your car payments and insurance together.
btw not proud of all that. was young/dumb and had a heavy foot/throttle.

All State - '03 CL-S w/navi - 1 accident - $102/month (should drop when I turn 25 in April).

It's funny how some cars are considered sports cars and other's not. My SHO wasn't, so it cost just as much to insure as a normal Taurus. I almost got an SVT Focus at one point. When I called to check on rates, the second I said Focus the lady said, "You don't want one of those. The rates are insane because there are so many of them involved in accidents." Another thing to keep in mind with insurance is the vehicle weight. They look at how much damage you'll likely do in an accident. It cost more for me to insure my '99 Lexus SC300 (225HP) then it did to insure my '03 Cobra (450HP after mods, 390HP stock)! WTF? Sure the Lexus was more expensive new but the Lexus was used where the Cobra was brand new and had MUCH more HP.

Country Financial

$550-600 per 6 months, can't really remember, I just pay it and forget it.

I have 1 ticket (3 points, FU Salina, KS)

When I got that ticket my Progressive insurance went up $200 per 6 months.

I had Esurance and it was cheap as hell, but they kept raising rates on me and the skeptical service bothered me.

Mine was $134/mo w/ Progressive on the '01 CL-S /w full cov'g. + $26/mo (just CO minimun) on my 1976 K5 Blazer 4x4 MT = a total of $160/mo on 2 cars.

Now I only insure the '00 XJ Classic for $103/mo w/Progressive full cov'g.

Oh, and my driving record is less than perfect but nothing in the past four years.

I have Allstate and I'm paying $1000 for 6 months 2 cars 01 CLS and 98 BMW 528I with very high coverages and low deductibles. I'm the agent and I have to say that in Calfiornia if you have a good driving record Allstate has great rates.
