I have a small bubble in my tire....how bad is that?
I have a small bubble in the sidewall of my tire. Its about the size of a dime. How long do I have untill a blow out I can't find any Perelli P7000s...I guess they are discontinued.

I ran one for about 5k miles...didn't really change my driving either. Just try and replace it...if you have a reason, but 4 new ones so they match and you dont get uneven ride. I think that is why I bought 4 new tires.

You have a bent steel belt. Over time, it's rigidity can and will deteriorate, so it's best to change it. If the P7000's are obsolete, you're still better off getting a new set of tires. There are two things on a car that money should never be an issue because they are what I consider the "life-savers" on a car: #1) brakes, and #2) tires. Why? If either of the two fail unexpectedly just because someone wanted to save some bucks, well ... you get the picture.

Hey Nicky...
Do you still have your hearing with those Pirellis? I had to get rid of them ASAP when they got down to about 4/32" ... When I got to 70mph, I had to virtually yell at the person beside me to talk... get new tires.

I agree with the masses here. Replace it.
Everytime I got a bubble, I replaced my tire. Sometimes it's expensive but you can't put a price on your (or your lovely girlfiends) safety.

You have a better change of going to Vegas and putting $1000 on a number on the roulette wheel and winning versus trying to predict if and when your tire may go.
I'd find a suitable replacement ASAP. Bubbles aren't something to mess around with.
Would you bungee-jump when the cord is a bit torn???

I had a bubble on the front driver side after hitting a pothole at 65mph., I drove with a bubble for 2 weeks, until one day I was driving on Union Tpke(for those that know Queens) it is a busy road, and hit another pot hole doing maybe 40mph, well the tire popped on impact luckily I kept control of the car and was only a block from Mavis tire.
trust me get a new tire ASAP, it aint worth risking your safety or anyone elses.

WELL!!!!....My stock 17"s are back on and the bubble in the sidewall got bigger!
You guys were right.....the bubble got bigger in just one friggin day! I just finished putting the stock wheels and tires back on I seriously don't remember hitting anything....oh well....I don't know if I want to put the 19"s back on again. I called everywhere and of course....they don't make P7000s anymore, so I could get 4 new tires for $925 I'd rather sit on the 17"s!

I wouldn't go over 25 to 30 mph unless you are a total idiot.
Dont wear your seatbelt anymore and try drivign with your head out the sunroof....

time to trade the bish!!!!! goodbye CL-S, hello 250z/g35c!!!! (just one more annoying headache you can easily avoid by gettin rid of the CL) not to mention, hows the tranny holdin up? gotta keep an eye on that of course.
its been a few months since the last big nicky pass car discussion, so no doubt, youve made a few more payments, decreased your pay-off balance, maybe saved a few more dollars, you are in an even better position to buy now than you were then!! and summer in chicago is juuuuust starting to come around the corner!

Those Nissan's are awesome and they NEVER bend a rim if you hit a deep pothole.
Even with 20’s.

they come with stock 18s, 18s that not only look pretty sweet, but 18s are ALOT less prone to the problems of 19's, 20's with the tire bubbling.
not to mention, RWD, an extra 27 hp, etc, etc, etc, etc..and thats just the nissan

The G35 is of similar weight to the CLS and would probably suffer the same fate.
And I agree that 19’s & 20’s are sweet for show cars and meets, but they’re way too fragile for everyday use.
