3-- New rear shelf to fix a rattle I had back there haha
4-- TRANNY # 1 Inspected and Photographed <--- :wtf: , and found to NOT have any damage, so they installed the LUBRICATOR

Ha, I read that as you just got out of THE service, as in your term with the military just lapsed. So, when I opened it up I was like :wtf:

The way Acura is treating customers with the transmission problems, they sure as hell better lubricate something!

Well at least you got that "recall" out of the way.

How long did it take them to do everything?

^----yeah I'm quite curious as to how long they needed the car for the tranny check...I need to take my car in to get a few other things checked before my certified warranty is up, plus I need to get the tranny checked. However, I need my car everyday lol.

with the quality of some of the Acura dealers here, I wonder if they're even gonna take the time to take digital pictures of my tranny, upload them to their junk computer and compare them. just give me the OIL JET and i'm outta that money drain.

Well they did mine this morning. Took about 3 hours if I am not wrong and in the mean time had the tiny 1.7 EL (Acura's version of a civic.) Just istalled the injector since the original tranny was good

about the AC compressor...

Quick question about the AC compressor. I take it you're still under warranty?

I've been complaining about that growl that occurs when the AC pump kicks on but understand that to be normal. I mentioned earlier this summer that when the AC pump kicks on, I get the normal growl but also a metallic-like hum that starts right after the pump kicks on and goes away when it shuts off. The noise also increases in pitch for a split second when I step on the gas adn then goes away. Is this similar to the noise you're hearing? I sprayed belt dressing on the belts and it seemed to minimize this but it really sounds like the car is laboring when the AC pump kicks on (I've also thought it may be the pcv or icv valves or something).

Just trying to put 2 and 2 together.

Anyone know how much an AC compressor and install would cost?

Chopper... track that rear panel noise... They tried to fix it 5 times in my case.. and it's still coming back... It's the damn brake light housing rubbing against the window... I am so pissed that I will try to make them take the crap OFF... the next time there, since there is no fix. The noise 'mostly' happens when I enter freeways when turning... and the car's body 'bends' a little... or when something is sitting in the back seat..

What was wrong with your A/C? Was the whining noise audible from inside only? was it loud? I also do have some kind of humming noise from A/C which you can only hear from inside, and its also when the car is in "D" while you are pressing brake. When its in park or when you drive it seems to go away, did you have the same problem?

Don't know if you directed that to me or not but, yes, my sounds with the AC are only when the car is in drive and foot on the brake. As soon as you hit the gas a little bit, the pitch of the sound goes up and then goes away.
