I have decided to sell my 01 cl-s. I have not had it for to long. It's a nice car, but I must be going through a mid life crisis or something. I want a V8 and 5-6spd. I have gotten "sum" help from a "few" members. Actually met 1 member. I will still be around until I can sell the car.

Funny, I just sold a 4 speed 1966 Chevelle SS and bought a CL-S 6mt. So far, I am happy with the change (and the mpg's) but I agree there is something to ripping through gears with a big v8. If you really love the CL and can live with front wheel drive, don't rule out a 6 speed! Good luck!

Yeah that's the only thing I've always been at odds with on ALL the Honda's I've owned, the lack of torque you get with a V8 just isn't there. Honda puts all the power on the top end. I wished they'd just build one V8 production car so we can see what it would be like.

OP, keep the CL as a daily driver and buy a V8 manual as a weekend toy. That's what I did (BMW M5). Due to my 70 mile daily commute I didn't want to put all those miles on the M5.

 

That would be nice, but money wise can't do that.
