Well I was driving down a street called YOUREE dr. and I WASNT SPEEDING unlike I always do. This road is fawked when its not wet and of course its raining. I start to hydroplane and my ass end starts to spin and I tried to correct it and I was headed to the meadian. I came 3 feet from hitting a lamp pole and hit a street sign instead. BAM I hit it and then I stopped. Jumped out of the car and started shaking and I just sat there on the side of the road smoking a cig.

Sumitumo's HTR +'s Stock Size: damn good tread on the fronts. He always has VSA on, as I have educated him on when only to turn it off.

:crying:

The road he speaks of is a black-top road, and has developed grooves in it over the years, and when it rains you literally have to drive in a strange pattern to keep from constantly hydroplaning. If you stay directly in the middle of the lane, constant slippage.

I've had similar experiencing on roads in NJ, too much truck traffic and the grooves are horrible. It looks like a 3k bill w/o suspension damage, but I am just guessing.

Does the Parish take care of the roads?

Well took it to my families paint and body shop and was told it was going to cost me $850.00 but my uncle said he would only charge me $500.00 so I think im coming out pretty good. My deductable(sp) is $500.00 so im not turning it into my insurance.

i drove by they place where I hit the street sign and that sign is FUBAR and looks like someone went mudriding in the median. Another shitty thing I notice when I went out to get in my car this morning was my driverside front wheel was flat so I was like o great way to start my morning. I just hope that street sign didnt fawk up anything underneath my car.

O yea and my rental car is a SILVER mercury sable 4-bangers sux.
When the weather clears up I will be testing the 0-60 time everywhere I go

that's such bullshit. you pay taxes and they have such a crappy and dangerous road. make the city pay for that shit.

someone here in austin got a brand new cobra and the fucktard contruction workers continuously left big ass rocks in the road. the guy accidentally hit one of these big ass rocks and got the city to pay for a new rim and tire. i really hate when there is negligence like that. hope your car turns out nice and you somehow try to get them to pay.

Speaking in very vague and generalized terms, any trip that is made and the resultant is rearranged body sheet metal panels on the car goes down in the books as "bad."

That's fixable, but I am suprised it can be fixed for only $500. REALLY suprised. I hope it is not going to become a bondo queen. Bondo only works and stays forever if the material thickness doesn't exceed 1/8th of an inch. In my opinion, you need at least two new body panels to do the job correctly, and they alone should exceed $500.

Whatever. Good luck and I'm glad you're OK. Don't feel bad. Mine got whacked to the tune of 5 large last year. You'de never know it now by looking at it.

Ouch. That sucks Kirk. At least you're all right, and the damage isn't that bad (or that expensive to fix).
