Who took the picture while you were driving the car at 75mph?

Actually, it's doing great. I haven't had to do anything other than routine maintenance. It still feels tight.

Actually, I had it all planned out. I was gonna' wait until the odometer hit 99,999, bust it up to 100 mph, then take the picture, but it was raining so hard on my drive home from Atlanta last night, that I didn't dare.

That's why I was in 4th gear, getting ready to jump on it.

wouldn't that have been cool, 100 mph when I hit 100K ??

So, I was wondering if Honda would cover your warranty 100k from time of last tranny install??? I mean I got my tranny replaced at 38k...so theoritically, I should have warranty until 138k....I doubt it tho, but maybe if I bitch and complain enough. Although so far, the tranny has been pretty solid...little jerking and slipping...but that could just be my driving..oh yeah...78K

wow that's amazing! at the rate i'm going now my car would be on it's 5th tranny at 100k

the ironic thing is my tranny started to act up on 4/1 last year (hard shifts between 1-2, 2-3, the usual, etc.)...couple of my friends had unfortunate incidents in their hondas/acuras that same day too...maybe it's a sick april fool's joke created by honda...i'm being half-sarcastic here, but you never know...

went to the dealership immediately...of course they gave me that "our computer didn't recognize anything so we can't help you" b.s.

pic taken on 4/2: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...a/fc50d883.jpg

tranny died later on that evening...tow truck towed it to acura the following morning...i didn't even show up to explain everything, i was so pissed..bet their faces were bright red though...no problems with my second tranny so far, i'm a little over 40k right now...hope it lasts for a while...

Ah, someone who knows well the infamous Acura/Honda paint. It's not that bad considering the miles, but the bumper is catching the worst of it. That's why I bought the bra. It helps a whole lot.

If that’s true, great, but I’m a little suspicious.

Why is the “Trip A” counter reading 000.0 if you’re going 75MPH.
If you were moving that fast, that thing would be clocking off the tenths faster then you could get your finger from the reset to the camera shutter.

Sorry to doubt, but there’s a lot of Photoshop Bull-Shitters here.

If it’s true…..CONGRATS !!!

If you hold the steering wheel with your knee, the camera in your left hand, you can hold the reset down with your right hand. This could explain it!!!! I noticed that too Shawn, but thats what I thought of. Maybe I'll try it tomorrow on the way to the Sactown Twistie Run!!!

Man ! You guys are tough

I did reset the trip odometer for the 100K pic.

100K in less than three years makes you a pretty good knee driver!

Shawn, I give you credit for asking the question (I noticed it as well), but DAMN, HiJincs was just waiting for that one! Thats funny how you took those pics at each count down mile!

Props to you and to acura for building at least one auto tranny that hit 100k miles! Good Luck to you on the next 100K!

Sorry for originally doubting, but like I said there are too many people here that are PhotoShop experts.

Congrats and keep us posted on the miles.
How many more are you planning before selling the car?

They're pretty good, great wet traction and a lot quieter than the Khumos I had before these.

Well, I'm moving to Atlanta and my job description has changed so I hope to be driving less. Maybe 20-30K a year. I will have to keep it for the remainder of the loan which was a 5 yr since I'm so upside down due to the miles.

If it holds up, I may give it to my youngest son as his first car after the loan is up.

We'll see. . .
