Waxing
Waxing
Here's the problem...I have a black CL and there are swirl marks and they are probably causing some 3d hazing look also. I am so annoyed at not being able to keep my black car nice and black. Here is my question to you guys with black cars or I guess other dark color cars...how do you get rid of the swirl marks or atleast lessen it to a certain degree? My car looks so freaking ugly outside in direct sunlight! I've heard about 3m scratch remover and Meguair's swirl and scratch remover...but how are you supposed to use it? First wash and then dawn the car and then use it? And are you supposed to use it like a wax...put some on an applicator pad and start applying and letting it dry then waxing? I know some of you guys will suggest Zaino...I do truly want it, but as a starving college student...can't afford it. So thanks for any help in advance! Have a wonderful day!

I have a Black SUV that is 5 years old and a red CLS so I know how difficult it is to avoid swirls. I have not yey used Zaino but a cheaper alternative is Meguiar's #9 swirl remover followed by #26 wax or Gold Class carnuba wax. The swirl remover takes quite a bit of buffing but works good. I just finished using it this week and don't have any swirls. I am sure Zaino is also an excellent product but I have found excellent results with Mequiar's. Check out www.carcareonline.com for some how to articles on waxing and polishing. I think these products are mentioned on the site.
