Watching rundog video.... I see... that in D5 his CLS shifted 1st at redline.
I thought that it would shift earlier like at 6500 rpms.
Or is it only in SS that it does shift first early?
Or is only if the CLS engine is not warmed up well?

if u keep it in d5 or d4 and go WOT alot i guess the ecu adjusted its self and after a few WOT runs it will shift at 7100 or around there on the 1-2, but if u gate shift u can prolly hold it till 7200, BUT, when r in d5 and goin wot u might get a good 7100 rpm shift on the 1-2 but on the 2-3 the revs dont move as quick and you'll get a 6900 ish shift
thats y its best to use SS or GS

ECU shift points "adjust" themselves? Since when? This seems to be a new revelation. I've never heard of shift points on an automatic changing spots over time unless programmed in. If anything I'd think more liekly odds will be that because of harsh driving the auto clutch is slipping and so the RPMs go over a bit to 7100 between shifts and so there's an appearance of higher shifting.

My car shifts in the "tach indicated" range of 7100ish under WOT too! ...But, that is NOT accurate!
When I had my car Dynoed after the SC installation, the Dyno indicated an RPM SHUTOFF @ 6830 RPM. I asked the Acura Tuner about the Redline/cutoff point - "the redline is 7000 rpm, why is it shuting off so soon according to the Dyno, yet the tach shows 7100 rpm?" He told me: The engine and the needle of the tach is moving fast and is carrying momentum - the dyno is VERY, VERY ACCURATE!
Just look at the Comptech Dynos - the TOP RPM is 6800!!!

My peak hp on the dyno was at 7000 rpm,.... and then hit the rev limit after that. When I try to use SS around town, I keep bouncing off the rev limit, so I just let the d5 do the driving. I have no clue where it shifts.

I never timed it, I got to get to englishtown though. I do know I can beat a g35 by half a car length to 80mph, so... My car has been acting healthy lately, and i just took out all the back seats and spare so she's prolly faster than the vid.
here's the vid too by the way:
acceleration to 85 or so...
