Watch this guys..... cool

These guys are not kidding altima is 240HP! a good kill for any Civic Type-R or even the new RSX.

I think the if altima get a 3.5L 240 HP, stock. Do not get shocked to see a 3.5L and 4.0L, Maximas I35 and I40 pushing 260-HP and 300-HP!

I think Honda/Acura would be in trouble if they don't bump there numbers accordinginly.

The 6-speeed stick CLS is not far fetched after all fro 2002.

I see that the CLS would hit 320HP by 2003!

I knew Nissan always has been a great car company with giant potential. They had some serious financial and product identity problem few years ago, but with the new acquisition by Renault the Nissan is back with vengeance. The new 2002 Altima is the good example. I saw the Nissan press release and it's quite impressive, especially the new 2002 Altima SE with 240 hp 3.5 liter V6 engine. According to Nissan, it can hit 0-60mph in 6.3 sec! I think it's for the manual tranny but that's still faster than our stock CL-S! Although I can't stand the idea that a 4-door family car like Altima can beat my CL-S in performance, I think this will FINALLY wake up other car companies (especially Acura and Toyota) to not hold back on anything. If the new 2002 Altima SE can stay at around $25,000, the Acura CL-S is in big trouble unless Acura offers 6-speed manual soon. I'll never buy the new Altima but I'm sure it will attract lots of new buyers who want real performance on their everyday car. Sh#t! The idea of new Altima SE passing my car really bothers me.

1. Thumbs down on real player (noise city, etc)

If they are putting the 3.5 in the Altima, then count on a return to HP wars of the 1970s. I did hear the Pres. mention Honda and Toyota as targets

Predictions -- most 4-door 20-30k cars running 14-15 1/4 miles and 6 second 0..60s

And it won't stop there

I just read today that the Maxima is due for a 3.5L engine making 260 hp AND A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. Should fly.
