LMAO,shawn...you are so right it seems that they have to make it fair the first 8 days so the last day it is all neck and neck. I was hoping that the teams brought there own cars and moded them, then went for the 3000 miles in like 2 days going 100, lMAO that would be nice to watch, running fromt he cops and farmers with guns in the midwest

man i wish i had the GTO or Camaro ...i'd b packing the most essentials with me on this trip, namely a V1, a credit card with a HIGH limit for all the times my car breaks down and i have to bribe the mechanic , definitely needs the Jolt!!, o and don't ferget the rubbers for those "just in case" times in the back seat

This is stupid. If you have any car with a NAV system and just 2 drivers you can make it from NY to LA in no more than 40-45 hours. So you don't stop or sleep for 2 days big deal. Stop for gas and eat some quick snack food and deal with it. If you had a Acura or a reliable car it wouldn't break down in 3000 miles. I then again don't know the rules on this. But I would think it is get in the f-king car drive don't sleep and get there quick. Or am I wrong.

rules are a bit different...they got checkpoints this time every leg of the journey so that u can get some sleep...they do it like rally racing...u start one after another depending on how fast it took u to do the previous leg of the journey...it's like the Dakar rally.

Allright I got ya. Yeah it isn't on for another 15 mins out here it is still 9:45pm. Thanks for clearing that up. Still it shouldn't be that way. It should be a straight dead out run IMO. Leave the rally racing up to the pros. These guys are on easy highways that everyone travels. OH well.

If I remember the rules correctly when they went over them, they’re not allowed to break the speed limit either.
I don’t know if the cars have governors on them or if it’s just the cameramen who make sure they don’t speed.
They have to follow a specific route as well, which isn’t a straight shot West.
