Warranty when doing own ATF change
When doing tranny fluid change yourself or at Non-Dealer:
Acura Client Services rep said to save:
1. reciept showing Honda ATF-Z1 purchased.
2. Labor invoice if shop does the pour. If shop does both labor and provides fluid, invoice needs to show Honda ATF-Z1 used.
Anyone had a blown tranny where reciepts/invoices became an issue?
It seems best to hang on to these reciepts for future tranny failure.

You are correct in thinking receipts are good for something...although HONDA of America extended the warranty on the Automatic Trannies since there are known problems... NOW, if your tranny failed because of the wrong fluid used or not enough fluid was present then they would have a case to make you pay for the tranny replacement... of course they would prove it first.
Just always keep your receipts in a file folder... you never know..

How about you call YOUR specific Dealer and ask them.
