I'v got the basic 100k milw warranty on my cls auto, and was wondering what type of mods might void it. and also, is the extended worth getting, and if so how much is it?

Keep in mind the 100k mile warranty is only for the drivetrain. I believe the standard bumper to bumper warranty is 4 years / 60k miles. I personally extended my bumper to bumper to 6 years/100k miles, so basically my whole car is covered until 100k.
As for the mods, any of the basic bolt-ons should be fine. Headers, intakes, exhausts, springs, and so on, would be OK. Anything electronic (ECU add-ons, etc) may cause problems. Also keep in mind that it's really up to the dealer, so check to see if your dealer is cool with mods. I've heard of some dealers giving people a hard time with intakes, but then another dealer actually installs intakes.... so it will vary from place to place. Check with your dealer before you do any mods to make sure they're "mod friendly". Legally they can't refuse warranty work unless they can prove that the mod itself cause the actual problem, but honestly, that's nothing but a hassle and you're better off knowing before you start modding.

I had the same question once, and someone sent me this document. Some dealers will give you a hard time, just take it to another dealer. The one I took mine too tried to refuse to warrenty a defect with my programmable seats because of wires from my stereo system being in the door. Once I reminded them that if they can't prove that those wires caused the problem, they have to honor the warrenty, they caved.
If they give you shit, talk to the manager, etc.
