The is an APEX-I model out there for our cars....

Some guys on here do have it.... Very minimal gains have been reported, and I believe cost is ~$300...

Hopefully one of those guys will chime in to help you out...

So in essence, there is no REAL hp gain, just when vtec kicks in right? soooooooo the earlier, the quicker acceleration?? (is it really that simple)?

If you're talking about the Apex'i VAFC, in addition to be able to change the VTEC crossover point, it can tune a/f ratios. I think, this is where most of the power comes from when using a VAFC.

Not quite. You have to remember that VTEC isn't some kind of turbo or something. It dosen't turn on and magically make your car go faster. VTEC crossovers points are partially based on proper a/f ratios and engine speeds. There IS an optimal RPM that is should change over. Lowering your crossover to say 2K rpm will not gain you anything, in fact, in might hinder performance. VTEC controllers are NOT plug and play. What I mean is that they have to be DYNO TUNED in order for it to be effective.

yup yup

it depends, usually the horsepower gain is about 2-4 hp, but be very careful with the set up and wiring. cuz one mistake can cause the Factory ECU malfunctioning
