VSA Saved My Ass!

I'm driving to work this morning on Holcombe Bridge Rd. (those from Atl. know it), and I go into this sweeping curve with a big dip at the bottom. Well, it's raining and I'm going a bit too fast for conditions (sorry ociffer...) as I hit the dip and the standing water, and the car starts to hydroplane into the oncoming lanes! Before I can completely stain my seat the VSA takes over and the car straightens out like it was nothing. WooHoo for VSA! Now, about that Lexol for the leather...

Your ass? What happened to the rest of your body? Are you sure it was the VSA and not you reacting?

Knowing the traffic on Holcombe Bridge Rd. in the morning you definitely got out of a jam. Not a fun situation to be in.

Well, my reaction was to turn into the skid because the tail was already trying to come around, but that put me headon into the oncoming traffic so I went the other way with it. (better to hit the tail than the left front quarter) After I got the seat out of my ass I saw the VSA ! still blinking so I gotta figure it was helping. The whole incident seemed very fast. I guess I could attempt to replicate the scenario without the VSA on so you can be sure...NOT.

Actually... everyone who gets a new car shoudl find a vacant parking log and put their car into a little spin just once. Just to see what their car is cabable of, and to know how to get out of one in an emergency. Like doing a backup. If your IT department never did a restore you're in trouble. The first time they do a restore should not be when the system gets botched.

Parking lot good...
Major road bad...
I think I found the limits this morning for wet roads - at least with the Michelin tires anyway.

Makes sense. I didn't realize the stock tires were that bad. I'll probably go with Goodyear when its time. How many miles do stock tires last?

Funny you mention this. I live in stockbridge and cant tell you how many times the VSA has saved my ass hydroplanning up I-75. And yes the roads here really suck . but the downside is that if they try and fix them traffic will be 1000000000 % worse , so leave them , I have VSA. the rest of the people should have bought a CL-S too.
