If you push the VSA button, and the VSA light turns on (meaning you have an orange triangle with an ! point), that means the system is OFF !
If you didnt push the VSA button, and the light is off, but flashes on when the tires slip, that means the system is working.

Cost Drivers!!!!
Well it's a difference between the time you're tires actually start to slip and the VSA goes into action. Split second right? Split seconds can mean the difference between life and death. Leave it on except on take offs during a race

Only comes on when it's actually working which is not often but it may save your life.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pushing the vsa button in to make the light go on is really off?

If you want VSA to help you out whenever needed, just make sure the VSA light is off when you first start driving.

Yup...if it's blinking, your VSA is working cuz your slipping, if it's just on, then your VSA is off, and that should be only when you're racing or if you're stuck in snow, not sure about the last part though.

Well I cant remember what the dealer told me exactly, but something about not using it in the snow or something, cuz when VSA activates it delivers power to one side, which mite get u more stuck....but anything that I was told at the dealer 2 months ago is just a a haze in my head now....too much experimenting I guess...

Here...as quoted from the sales brochure....
"...the Vehicle Stability Assist system on the Type-S helps counter skidding and plowing by breaking individual wheels to help restore the car to its intended path."
So basically VSA isn't intended so much for snow, it might actually be a bad idea to have it on while driving on snow...I could be wrong, but so far no one has come forward to go against this...

Now if you are stuck in the mud or 20" snow and you can not move your cls cause of the slipping and VSA getting activated, turn off the VSA might help.

If you are stuck in snow, you want the VSA on. The Traction Control is linked in with the VSA. If you have it off, then only the one front tire without traction will spin and you will sit there. With VSA on, Traction Control is activated, and if you are stuck it will apply the brake to the wheel that is spinning in the snow, causing the other wheel to move and pull you out.
