VSA comes on too soon!

Can anyone who works on Acuras shed some light on the following problem. I have complained to the dealer since the car was new in March, 2000 about this same problem. I keep getting the same answer, "the computer shows no error codes". Sometimes this problem is so bad that VSA has to be turned off. I have had it activate following a motorhome towing a Jeep, going uphill & 10mph BELOW the posted speed limit!

Service Bulletin Number: 010301 Bulletin Sequence Number: 198 Date of Bulletin: 03/01

NHTSA Item Number: SB619906
Component: STEERING
Summary:
INFORMATION ON VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST ACTIVATING TOO SOON. *TT

Yo,
Since its a TSB from NTSH call your regional customer rep. or call the 1800 acura number and tell them about your dealer.

Bump

Can one of the Acura Techs on this board let me know what this TSB applies to? It is really maddening to have to switch VSA off when driving normally in mountainous conditions, If I was really pushing I could understand it activating, but in comes on during nornal mountain driving at or below posted speed limits.

I've had this happen on a few occasions too and thought it was just a problem with only my car. What happens is it will apply the brake to the front left wheel on curvy mountain roads at normal speeds. It is annoying as hell and when it happens it feels like it could be dangerous...especially if you were on a slippery or wet road.

Travis,

You are the 1st person that has described the exact problem that I have had for the last (2) years! Every time I go to Yosemite the VSA has to be switched off. You are right, I think it could be very dangerous. I once spent half an hour going over the same stretch of road trying to figure out exactly what condition would cause this to happen. It seems to be random. What realley pisses me off is the "wall job" I keep getting at the dealer.
