VP Racing Fuel

Guys & Gals (the 1-2 we have here)

I ca get a pretty decent deal on VP Racing fuel, so if you guys want 5-gallon drums
of Motorsport 103 (or any other fuel like 118-leaded if you are so inclined), let me know. Prices have gone up, but its available.

Typically Motorsport 103 (unleaded) will allow you a 15psi increase in FI pressure without timing retard! It's very appliable for N2O use as well. On NA cars, it might help on a real cold day when the knock-sensor goes retard-happy (or yu can fool the MAP into adding more timing).

Anyways, PM me if you want some.

cold day? doesnt the ECU retard timing due to knock when it's really HOT?

if the car starts overboosting and such, on a cold day, it will adjust for that and retard timing sometimes higher octane fuel can compensate for the over (higher than usual) boosting... however I too feel the ECU retards timing due to knock when it's hot, but overboost causes knock too. Either way, I want in lol. I know locally I can get it for $4-5 a gallon

It retards when the IAT is high as well as when IAT is low and there is knock present - so either way the gasoline will help

The 5-gallon pails are $33.x + tax for single-quantities and $32.x + tax for 5+ quantities. If its 5+, I can get it delivered at my house. These are distributor prices and it includes the can - not sure how to get any cheaper unless we buy 100+ gallons!!

Any takers... PM me, I can just get 5-10 pails delivered home

ahhh... half temped.. but the shipping across the US will have to be via Fed-X I do belive since UPS does not handle flammable liquids...

P.S. I think fed-x charges a fee for shipping flammable liquids too.

The (R+M)/2 method is actually 107 octane on this, I believe. The sunoco is 100-octane. There are several advantages of different fuel composition... not just in raw octane #'s.

Might be able to call a local "Jobber/Distributor" for one of the major gasoline companies to avoid that fee. It also might be worth it to look at a 55 gallon drum - cost should drop significantly and they may deliver to your garage.
