VIN Breakdown?

Anybody here know how they break down the VIN number? What's 19UYAXXXXXXXXXXX ??? Is there one for color, one for Type-S, one for manual, one for navi...etc etc? I assume the last 6 digits or last 4 digits are the number that rolled off the factory line.

Yep, it's all in the Acura CL FAQ . Bookmark this page

The direct link to the vin stuff is:vin decoder

I learned this pretty quick when I was looking at used CL's. You can tell if a CL is a typeS from the vin number (usually provided in dealer ads on the web).

The 7th digit will be a 1 (one) for a 6spd, or at least mine is

Hope this helps,
