Video of a CL at 140+

I found a video of a CL doing 145+ on my computer. I was wondering who's car was in the video and what exhaust was on it? It has a low rumble and sounds perfect IMO. The CL has a passport detector and a TV stuck on the dash. Can anyone identify the car by my description? I'm almost positive I got the video from this site.

Would be interesting to see, since many of us have never attempted that speed in our cars

The title of the video is "fast" and the author is "kris". The TV is just ghetto mounted on the dash with tape. The car has to slow down because of a fast approaching stop sign.

I've taken my car to about 145, just before the limiter... this is when I had the auto one... now have a 2003 cls6... took it to maybe 135-140... the car is very stable at that speed, you'd never know you were that fast...

Before I had the CL I had a 99 integra gs... on a very steep hill on the highway, I was once able to take it to 140.
Let me tell you, I feel much more secure doing that in the CL

Am I missing anything ? my car feels scary at 140+ I took it to 145 once on the N-E extension in PA and it was down hill. Pretty scary but kinda fun.....

BTW I did 135 in my friend's 330ci and I couldn't even tell wether we were doing 80 or 135mph.... that was one smoothhhhhhhhh ass car

Though this is completely off topic, driving an MB S500 at 140 feels like butter.

I'm assuming that's not on the stock rubber because anything above 110 on those doesn't seem stable at all for me.

I always done it with stock tires... even with snow ones...
very stable, never was afraid for one second.

About the rev limiter, is it scary when it comes on at that speed?

about that rev limiter... are you sure it's at 147? Because I had a canadian version of a 2001 cl-s... I took it to 245km/h... just calculated and it comes to 152mph.

What size tires you have? Could be cause they are smaller then stock?

well about that rev limiter at 140mph... I don't understand... I'm sure I did at least 152mph... because i have a canadian version and the speedometer stops at 240km/h and I was a bit over it.
This with a 2001 auto... now have a cls6 but I didn't try it over 140 mph.

I have seen my speedo past the 150 dash a few times. So I don't know where the limit goes. I rememebr just about a month ago mine was viewing 152 and it really wasn't going anymore. So who knows if there is any speedo error or what now but that's what it read.

I've done 125-130 in my CL-S, but it just ain't worth the potential problems.

140 in a Supra TT is like strollin' through the park. Shit goes from 80 to 120 in no time, and then you hit 140 for nothin'. Pins your shit to the seat.

i got my 97 integra to 140 on numerous occasions and it didn't feel bad. but my cl does handle more responsive at 140.

i think the governor is set at 147 or something like that, perhaps you do have a speedo error. do you have rims & tires that are different size than stock?

I do but I calculated the difference and it said at 60 my speedo would read 60.72

So that means at 150 it would be maybe 2 mph off. Still doesn't seem to make sense. If you are going downhill can it effect the speedo
