Yeah I like the pedals personally...have had them on for a couple of months now..

Steering wheel is nice on that car...I personally like the radio controls and stuff on ours though..

So now you only have $1800 for the seats...

Something like that never makes sense unless:

1. You're a dedicated racer trying to maximize every advantage possible under the classification rules (ie 1600cc class) of some sort of organized racing. SCCA Solo/Solo 2 comes to mind here in the US.

2. You're an aftermarket parts manufacturer/distributor/retailer bent on brainwashing the kids to believe that Mom's hand-me-down econobox is in fact a supercar-in-the-rough.

I try to keep that in mind as I draw up plans to modify my IS. I don't think I can allow myself to spend more than $6K total for coilovers, exhaust, and a factory SC. Any more and I think I'll be better off just saving up the additional money for an E46 M3.

dude, it's a right hand drive civic type R. Maybe not where you live, but here, that thing would be the center of attention anywhere you went. I personally had never seen one in real life until i saw this one.

HAHA Just bolt them directly into the cars frame!

DtEW...yeah some people just like to mod their cars though...I mean if everyone with a civic thought that way, then why are there so many performance parts for civics, integras, etc..

CLpower, I know. It certainly would be the center of attention anywhere. But for myself, I'd like to minimize attention. So even in lieu of what I said before, that car isn't for me anyways.

tw1112, that is true. For that person, then more power to him/her. I guess I'm more referring to the kids that think that they're going to build their DX into an all-around Ferrari-eater.

Trust me, I know the type. I have a baby cousin that is set on CRX's. Slapping him down with facts isn't the way, so his automobile enthusiasm is just going to have to mature and broaden on its own.

Whoa there. Not that I'm huge fan of domestics, but you should really check your sources. There are things to say against the Cobra in the Cobra vs. Mugen CTR matchup, but the comparative lack of raw all-around performance is simply not it.

And the last I've heard, a Cobra only costs around $30K. A Cobra R (a car comparable to the Corvette) costs about $50K. Switch domestic make and for $55K, you can get a Corvette Z06, which is actually faster than both the NSX and the E46 M3, is comparable to the 911, and is nearly always included in all supercar comparison articles.

i've seen reviews w/ bone stock ones running low 14's, but where they really excell is on a track w/ that LSD.

theres lots of cars running less then 300 HP and are quicker then that. My buddies typeR has about 220 HP and it's in mid 13's

Hmmm for a quick eg6? I'd just hook up a VX with a B20B/Z with an ITR or GSR head if I wanted to go NA. With slicks, I'd say 12's with a good driver.

If youre a BOV kinda guy, B18B turbo and slicks will earn you low 12's if not better...

And those projects are 6-7 grand jobs... not bad at all. Considerin the base price of an eg6 is about that much or less.

I know its not all about the straight line, but ya can't beat a hybrid.
